Taking the first step toward mental health support is meaningful. We aim to make getting started feel welcoming, straightforward, and easy to understand.

Your First Appointment

During your first appointment, you will meet with the provider for a comprehensive evaluation that typically lasts between 45 minutes to 1 hour. This evaluation will include a detailed review of your medical, social, and family history. Once all the necessary information has been collected, you and the provider will collaboratively discuss and develop an appropriate treatment plan tailored to your needs.

How do I schedule my first appointment?
Insurance clients with BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, Carelon Behavioral Health, Oxford (Optum), United Healthcare (Optum), or Quest Behavioral Health may schedule online through our booking partner. Self-pay clients should call our office at 252-376-6841 to schedule an appointment.
Do you offer in-person or telehealth appointments?
Yes. In-office appointments are available at our Tarboro, NC office. Telehealth may also be available — contact us for details.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes. We currently accept Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS), Aetna, Cigna, Carelon Behavioral Health, Oxford (Optum), United Healthcare (Optum), and Quest Behavioral Health. Coverage varies by plan. Please verify your benefits with your insurance provider before your appointment.
Do you offer self-pay options?
Yes. Private pay is available for in-office and telehealth psychiatric services. Current rates range from $150 for medication management follow-ups to $200 for an initial psychiatric evaluation. Self-pay clients should call our office to schedule. Full pricing and payment policies are listed on our New Clients page.
What age groups do you serve?
We provide treatment services for individuals aged 15 to 64. ADHD evaluation and treatment is available for adolescents; for adults, we maintain medication management for those already diagnosed.
What are your payment policies?
Payment is due before or at appointment time. A credit card on file is required. We maintain a 24-hour cancellation policy, and no-show fees are charged to the card on file. Superbills are available upon request.
